What does Al-Risalah mean?

“The message”

It is the message of giving, love and caring, kindness and compassion towards those under privileged. After seeing the suffering of orphans and the poor we decided to act and do the best we can to help alleviate their suffering. After legal advice, we submitted our application to the UK Charity Commission and we were granted permission to operate as a charity organisation on December 27, 2017, after which we started rallying families, friends, and the general public. That is how Al-Risalah came about.

Al-Risalah Projects Include:

1. Caring for the orphans by paying for their education, clothing, and medical attention
2. Digging water wells in areas where there is no water
3. Providing food ration for the elderly and the poor
4. Building & Renovating Masjids
5. Helping to create micro-businesses for poor widows
6. Providing Iftaar Ramadan for the Poor
7. Udhiyah (Qurbani) to be distributed to the poor
8. Distributing Zakatul Fitr and Zakatul Maal
9. Sadaka Jariah
10. General Sadaka
11. Quran Memorisation
12. Emergency Relief

What Drives Al-Risalah Volunteers?

Al-Risalah empowers those on the fringes of society and the destitute in general and the orphans, widows and single mothers in particular. We are driven by the spirit of humanity in its deepest sense. We believe that every human being must have the opportunity to realize his/her full potential and that can not be achieved when some members of society lack the basic things to sustain their lives like food, clean water, medicine and education.
